The Altered Insulator is a mission artifact that can be found only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

DescriptionEdit

This used to be an insulator. It has now almost turned into an unstable artifact. It is probably the source of intermittent psy-emissions. Also note that this artifact is the only one which weighs 1.0 kg instead of 0.5 kg like all the others.

AcquisitionEdit

It is found on the floor in the North-West train tunnel, detectors will also pick up this artifact. A mobile Psi-Electro anomaly must be circumnavigated prior to finding it. Note that after picking this artifact up: a controller will spawn and will start to take control of Topol's squad, one should ready their weapons for the encounter.
