Description[]
The Altered Wheel is the dredge station's old wheel, which has become a strange artifact through unknown means. Its main property is its ability to glow, which has attracted the attention of several stalkers in the area.
Acquisition[]
The Altered Wheel is found on a barge at the Dredge station in Zaton. The area is surrounded by high levels of radiation as well as multiple Springboard anomalies.
This item is the target of the mission Strange Phenomenon given by Beard. The player can sell the artifact to Beard for 3000 RU, although it can also be sold to Professor Hermann in Jupiter for 2000 RU. Selling this item contributes towards getting the Pioneer achievement.
Regardless if the player have talked to Beard to initiate the quest or not, Tuna and his two friends will always appear outside the dredge station once the player collects the artifact and attempt to take it away from the player. If the player lets Tuna have it, then he will sprint to the Skadovsk and sell it to Beard by himself.
