Bonesetter (Russian: Костоправ, "Kostoprav"; also known as Chiropractor in some translations) is a Loner medic appearing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. He also appears in the spin-off novel S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Southern Comfort again as a medic.

Background[]

Bonesetter, along with Zulu, are the only two known people in Yanov station who could sense when an emission is approaching before the signs even begin to manifest. As such, he regularly announces approaching emissions on stalkers' PDAs. He is also one of the senior residents of Yanov station and is known to be trustworthy among the residents, never gossiping and always advising Free stalkers to stay out of the war between Duty and Freedom.

Call of Pripyat[]

Bonesetter is the medic at Yanov station. He can heal the player and trade medical supplies.

Despite the fact he stays on Freedom half of the station, he is strictly neutral and will often advise the player to not favour either faction. Additionally, attaining the achievement A Friend of Stalkers causes him to offer discounts to his medical wares.

The player may talk to him for advice regarding various main and side missions of the game.

  • Theft: After the player's items have been stolen, talking to Bonesetter will provide a further clue to the whereabouts of the thief.

Southern Comfort[]

He becomes the medic at Bagram Air Base after the "New" Zone appears at Afghanistan. He medically treats the protagonist Major Tarasov.
