Personally I've only come across a Comet and a Tesla. The former is a fireball about three feet in diameter. But I assure you, you'll feel the heat from a much greater distance... The latter is, for lack of a better description, a ball of lightning. It's definitely a ball and it's definitely electrical in nature. Both anomalies always keep moving, but usually in closed-loop paths. A careful stalker should be able to easily go around them... Just don't lose your focus.
Pilot's description

The Comet is a rare type of anomaly featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

General characteristics[]

The Comet anomaly functions much like a Burner anomaly in that it deals fire damage on close contact, but with a key difference in that the Comet is mobile, hovering around within a certain area at a rapid pace.

The Comet anomaly, unlike the Burner, is extremely powerful: it can kill even a well-armoured stalker if he gets hit directly.

This anomaly does not spawn any kind of artifact.

Locations[]

Shadow of Chernobyl[]

The anomaly only appears once, in the second floor of Lab X-18. It "patrols" a single room containing a dead Loner, a multitude of boxes, and possibly an artifact or two.

Clear Sky[]

The comet only has one spawn point, located inside the long tunnel above ground on the south end of the factory complex in Dark Valley, which houses the Freedom HQ.

Call of Pripyat[]

Comets are found in Zaton and Pripyat, with four at the former and one at the latter. The first two are orbiting around the Circus anomaly field and the last two are in the Burnt farmstead underground. The fifth comet is located in the upper level of the Department Store Basement.
