The EM1 Rifle is a precursor to the Gauss Rifle. It is featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

DescriptionEdit

This prototype weapon was created by the Clear Sky faction. Its main use was to disable electronic devices at a distance, since it fires electromagnetic energy bursts at long range. The design of this gun was taken by the Monolith faction after Clear Sky's downfall. As a result, the EM1 Rifle evolved into the highly lethal Gauss Rifle.

AppearanceEdit

Lebedev gives the gun to Scar upon reaching the Chernobyl NPP. Scar used it to disable Strelok's psi-protection, so that the Zone would become more stable. However, after Strelok's psi-protection is disabled, the Zone releases a devastating emission that either incapacitated, killed, or zombified everyone around it. Most of those who lived were inducted into the Monolith ranks.
