Find the commandant is a primary mission segment in Clear Sky.

Acquiring the Mission[]

Complete the Bring the PDA to Chekhov task to receive the Find the commandant mission.

Overview[]

In the Zone, you don't get something for nothing. So, before Chekhov will give Scar what he knows about Fang, he wants Scar to bring Lingov, the traitor, back to the Freedom base dead or alive.

Mission: Find the commandant[]

The Abandoned pig farm gets its name from events that take place in Shadow of Chernobyl, and is locate at the south end of the Dark Valley. As you approach you hear a radio transmission from Freedom summoning all squads to help with Mercenaries. The Find the commandant mission is complete and a new task displays: Help Freedom eliminate the Mercenaries.

Mission: Help Freedom eliminate the Mercenaries[]

You can join in or sit this one out, it doesn't matter. When the last Mercenary goes down, the Help Freedom eliminate the Mercenaries mission is complete and a new task displays: Take the commandant's PDA. There's also a task to collect your reward, which you can do at the Freedom base bar.

Mission: Take the commandant's PDA[]

Lingov's body is between the two long buildings on the west side. When you search him and take the PDA, the Take the commandant's PDA mission is complete and a new task displays: Deliver the PDA to Chekhov.

Mission: Deliver the PDA to Chekhov[]

When you take the PDA back to the Freedom base, Chekhov finally tells you of his encounter with Fang. Because of his suspicious behavior, Freedom decided to hack [[Fang|Fang's] PDA in order to keep an eye on him. Chekhov gives you the frequency, so now you can find him yourself. The Deliver the PDA to Chekhov mission is complete and a new task displays: Catch up with Fang.
