Monolith War Lab 4

The Monolith War Lab is a level that was cut from the final version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Description[]

Located in the deepest parts of the Zone, beside the Generators, it was where the Group conducted the Common Consciousness experiment. The field around the lab served to use generators that would be used by the C-Consciousness scientists to interact with the Noosphere. The experiment failed and created a large rift within the Noosphere, with the Zone as a direct consequence.

Appearances[]

Build 1935[]

The Monolith War Lab is accessible in Build 1935. It is accessible from the Generators level. As far as AI goes, it is completely empty.

Shadow of Chernobyl[]

The level (along with the Generators) is not accessible in the final version. The laboratory is only seen in the final cutscene if the player refused to join the C-Consciousness project, where Strelok is seen walking in one of the rooms that contains the pods holding the scientists of the C-Consciousness, before shooting them.

Call of Pripyat[]

The new Lab X-8 location re-uses the layout of the Monolith War Lab, bar some rooms and doors.
