Complete the Get information from the digger messenger task to receive the Follow Fang to the Dark Valley mission.

Scar was able to track down Vasyan and learn that Fang is most likely in the Dark Valley. So that's where he's headed next.
Mission: Follow Fang to the Dark Valley[]
From the spot where you talked with Vasyan, go west until you're clear of the hill on the right, then head for the transition point to the Dark Valley. When you arrive in the Dark Valley, the Follow Fang to the Dark Valley mission is complete and a new task displays: Talk to the outpost commander.
Mission: Talk to the outpost commander[]
You're greeted by a squad from Freedom, and you would be wise to follow there instructions. The outpost commander will approach and ask who you are. The conversation ends with him referring you to the Freedom base. The Talk to the outpost commander mission is complete and a new task displays: Find Freedom's base.
