The Fireball is an artifact that can be found in all three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

Appearances Edit

Shadow of Chernobyl Edit

DescriptionEdit

Crystallizes in the anomaly Burner. Fights well with radioactivity, though the heightened rate of energy exchange wears out the muscles of the moving apparatus. Won't be able to run for long. Artifact emits heat.
- In-game description

The Fireball reduces irradiation by 20%, but reduces endurance as well by 18%. The Fireball could help the player in the early game to purge small amounts of radiation, although the Crystal reduces irradiation by 30%, making it a better choice as soon as found.

AcquisitionEdit

This artifact can be found in the Agroprom Underground inside the hideout containing Strelok's stash. The Fireball is normally placed in the open on top of some equipment just to the left of the player as the room is first entered - note that due to a spawn bug the Fireball could appear inside the equipment, making it impossible to obtain. The player may encounter them frequently at Wild Territory and in nearly every burner anomaly and Lab X-18 as well as Lab X-16.

Clear Sky Edit

DescriptionEdit

Even though Fireball is a thermal artifact, it can be handled without fear of being burned. This artifact is valued for its ability to maintain a temperature of 75 degrees within a small radius, virtually regardless of its surroundings. Emits radiation.
- In-game description

The Fireball returns in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, providing a +3 in fire protection but +1 in radiation. The player could combine multiple Fireballs as well as an anti-radiation artifact to get good protection against thermal anomalies.

Call of Pripyat Edit

DescriptionEdit

Even though Fireball is a thermal artifact, it can be handled without fear of being burned. This artifact is valued for its ability to maintain a temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit within a small radius, virtually regardless of its surroundings. Emits radiation.
- In-game description

The Fireball in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat gives a +6 in fire protection and a +2 radiation. By combining two of these, the player could get a heavy +12 in fire protection, although this would require a Bubble or two Jellyfishes to counter the radiation effect.

AcquisitionEdit

The Fireball spawns by default in the Circus anomaly in Zaton, and can be found in all heat anomalies in-game.

The Fireball is a possible reward from Petruha after the player rescues him from the Boiler anomaly. In order to get this artifact from him, the player must have a Bear, Veles or Svarog detector. He will then give the player the Fireball once he steps back from the anomaly. If the player has no detector or the starting Echo detector, he will give the player his own Bear detector, although one can still buy Petruha his Fireball.
