The flash drive contains upgrade data for a SVDm2/SVUmk2 and can be delivered to Yar in the Freedom base at the Dark Valley for a reward of 6250 RU, after which he will be able to apply the upgrade to the player's weapons.

The flash drive is given to the player by Chekhov, the leader of Freedom, as a reward for completing the mission Eliminate the Mercenaries: Factory Lobby.
