The Gas Cloud (unofficial name) is a rare type of anomaly featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
General characteristics[]
The Gas Cloud anomaly resembles a Gas anomaly and causes chemical burns. The Gas Cloud however moves and deals far more damage. As such, it is the chemical counterpart of the Comet and Tesla anomalies.
Even while wearing one top-tier protective suit and some chemical-protection artifacts, only a touch of this anomaly would reduce health dramatically and a direct hit may result in instant death. Running through it is the best thing to do, as it will prevent the player from taking high damage. The antidote can severely reduce damage dealt by the Gas Cloud.
This anomaly also does not spawn any kind of artifact.
Call of Pripyat[]
Known locations[]
There is only one of them in the entire game. It is floating above the Vine Anomaly in Pripyat. It will not pose a threat to the player should they stay at ground level, however they will have to circumvent it if the player were to climb up the Vine in order to reach one of the apartments which contains a RP-74 among other goods.
