Overview[]

Artificial steroids, similar in chemical composition to testosterone, used by stalkers to increase their carrying capacity temporarily. It takes the appearance of a blue bottle with a blue cap.

Hercules raises the player's max carry limit by 20 kilograms. It has the most long lasting effect of all consumable items, as high as five minutes. If used with stalker energy drink in combo, one can run without a need to rest with a very heavy load for quite some time.

Considering the low weight of Hercules, it is always a good idea to have one or two at hand. Five bottles of Hercules weigh as much as one bandage.

Acquisition[]

Hercules is sold by Bonesetter, Tremor and Owl. It is occasionally found in the inventories of stalkers.

One bottle is found in Hermann's room, on a shelf.

Trivia[]

  • Hercules was the Roman name of the demigod hero Heracles in Greek mythology. Amongst his various abilities one was his superhuman strength. Nowadays, Hercules is a symbol of very high physical strength, fitness and capabilities.
  • Hercules appears to be a type of anabolic steroids, which increase protein synthesis within the cells to stimulate cellular tissue growth.
  • In one of the 100 survival tips in Call of Pripyat, they are mistakenly called Hercules pills.
