Hook is a mercenary who appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
Background[]
Hook is a member of Jackal's expedition into the Zone to find the location of Lab X-8 on the behalf of an unknown client. He and his associate Ridge have been stationed at the Waste Processing Station in Zaton for some time, waiting for a signal from Jackal to move.

Call of Pripyat[]
Hook and Ridge can be found patrolling the Waste Processing Station with nine other mercenaries. Owl provides a mission that requires the player to sneak into their camp and find info about the mercenaries' activities. Hook and the mercs guard the Mercenary notebook wanted by Owl. If Hook or any of his men spot the player in the vicinity of the station, they will order them to turn around and walk away; if they spot the player again, they will open fire.
Hook carries a PDA which can be sold to Owl for 1000 RU. If the player does not deal with them or sneaks past the mercs undetected, then he and his men will disappear once the mission Pripyat 1 has been completed, presumably to regroup with Jackal and his forces.

Trivia[]
- In S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, a stash in the Great Swamps mentions a character named Hook, although it is unknown if it is referring to the same character as Call of Pripyat.
