Kill the stalker is an optional mission featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.
Description[]
You know, there's this type of men that you could never say a bad word about… you trust him as you trust yourself, right? You bank on him… But suddenly you find out that he is the vilest and meanest son of a bitch… So here's the deal: there's this one case that needs to get sorted. Do it, and I'll take care of the rest.

Acquiring the mission[]
The mission is given by Barkeep after completing Find the documents in X18 mission.
Completing the mission[]
This task is difficult because upon accepting the mission, the target Stalker spawns on the road to the Bar, where he can't be killed without Duty attacking you.
It is however possible to kill him stealthily by stabbing him in the back. This can be done so without alerting everyone by first distracting the person opposite of him and making him turn his back via talking to him. This creates a window of opportunity as he's standing up and turning around, quickly run and then crouch behind the stalker (without alerting him) and stab him with the knife. Thus avoiding a shootout.
