― In-game description

The Kombez Freedom M2 is a customized Wind of Freedom suit featured only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Overview[]

This modified Wind of Freedom suit features an integrated metal mesh, increasing its resistance to electric and magnetic fields. Unlike the standard Wind of Freedom, the Kombez Freedom M2 features a first generation night vision module, and boasts a staggering 90% resistance to electrical anomalies. Overall this suit provides good protection from anomalies (and nigh-invulnerability from electric ones), however its bullet protection is lacking.

Location[]

This one of a kind suit can only be found in one place; in the Freedom armory in their base in the Army Warehouses.

The armory is guarded by a Freedom member, therefore acquiring anything from the armory requires the death of the guard or using a chair to jump over his head. In order to kill him without damaging the player's reputation to Freedom, one can roll an explosive barrel next to him and shoot it. However it may take two barrels for him to die. Another way to silently kill the guard is to stab him in the head with a knife, however this act is dangerous as the player can be seen killing the guard (and even if not, this will lower the player's reputation with Freedom regardless, requiring good standings just to keep them non-hostile). One can also push a chair out of the room across from Skinflint and next to the guard, using it to jump over his head. Once on the next side the process can be repeated with another chair in the room across from the armory. This process can be tedious and frustrating, but it guarantees that one's reputation with Freedom will not be harmed.

If the player takes Skull's mission to kill Lukash, one can simply steal the suit from the armory, since the player will be hostile to Freedom regardless.
