Max has achieved a level of notoriety in the zone as he is referred to as the legendary guardian of freedom.

Shadow of ChernobylEdit
Max can be found in the northwestern part of the Freedom base in the Army Warehouses area. He can provide one optional mission, but won't give it out straight away - you'll have to do the Destroy the Duty company and Deal with the snitch missions for Lukash first.
Once done, he can provide the mission Get a flash drive from the crazy sniper that requires you to deal with a crazy Stalker near the swamp in Army Warehouses. He promises you a Black Kite for doing the mission, but unfortunately he'll give the Marked One a Walther P99 instead. Max leads a group of Expert Freedom members sporting GP 37 rifles, but wearing Wind of Freedom Suits. Max also appears to be Lukash's second in command as he refers to Max as "the boss".
Call of PripyatEdit
In Call of Pripyat, Max is only mentioned by Nimble when ordering a sniper weapon and getting the SVU2-A, his custom SVU.

- ↑ In Call of Pripyat, stalker Nimble can provide the protagonist with a special shortened SVUmk2, which supposedly belonged to Max.
