Wiki For the armor of the same name in Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat, see PSZ-9d Duty armor.

Produced by one of Kiev's defence research institutes and commissioned by the Duty faction. It is as simple and reliable as the standard PSZ-9 model, but due to the new materials, it provides good protection from various harmful impacts, including firearm damage. The vest still needs some work because it has no breathing protection system.
― In-game description

The PSZ-9d Duty armor (Personal Protection System Model 9)[1] is a protective suit featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Appearances[]

Shadow of Chernobyl[]

In Shadow of Chernobyl, it is the standard-issue armor for Duty stalkers. Its appearance is very similar to the Stalker suit, but sporting Duty's trademark black and red pattern instead. Duty NPCs can be seen wearing this suit in combination with a face mask, a balaclava or a gas mask, and either a backpack or two oxygen tanks. This armor only appears in Shadow of Chernobyl; it is superseded by the PS5-M Universal Protection which appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

In comparison to Freedom's Guardian of Freedom suit, the suit weighs less at the cost of decreased protection against impact and explosion, and its lack of Night Vision is also somewhat discouraging. It is an effective starter suit, but is best replaced as soon as possible.
