|Shadow of Chernobyl|
|“|| This one seems to be alive. What a lucky guy... At least death would have saved him from the dreams. Let's go and see what value Sidorovich will put on your head.|
- The Savior
The introduction video shows him as a stalker with fair, reddish hair, a feature not seen on any other game characters. This might be a reference to Redrick (Red) Schuhart, one of the protagonists of Roadside Picnic, the novel that served as one of the main inspirations for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
The unknown savior is only seen in the introduction cutscene for Shadow of Chernobyl, picking up the unconscious Marked One from the crash site of a death truck, perhaps somewhere in the Cordon. Afterwards, he is seen delivering the unconscious stalker to Sidorovich's bunker and is never seen for the rest of the game, even though his dialog suggests he works commonly for Sidorovich. He is seen with a brown trenchcoat and a Vintar BC sniper rifle, equipment that is curiously shared with Scar, the protagonist of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.
