I thought I'd start with the very basics. Another advantage of file types is it's easier to write an article about them without breaking the tone, although there may still be some issues there. Obviously incomplete - I'll try and get some more entries up, and flesh the existing ones out, soon.
Eventually I plan to give each file type it's own page, as this being Stalker editing or even opening files can be quite a challenge. Still, all in good time.
