This artifact was found at the center of the legendary Oasis. It appears that the Heart is a crystallized plant, which has acquired the healing properties of the Oasis. Unlike the Oasis itself, however, this artifact is extremely radioactive.

The Heart of the Oasis is an artifact that can be found only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
Description[]
The Heart of the Oasis combines the effects of a Battery, Mama's Beads and Soul all into one while also replenishing the player's nourishment, being the only artifact with that effect in the game. However, it also comes with a severe downside which is a +4 in radiation, the most radiation out of any artifact in the game alongside the Compass.
Whether or not it's actually useful is debatable - it takes twenty four minutes of perfect silence to regenerate a third of the player's health bar, and the stamina adds about half a second to the player's endurance while sprinting. Some benefits of having this artifact is to save on the weight of the food one can carry, as the player can simply equip this artifact to replenish nourishment. On the other hand, turning in this artifact to the Ecologists will contribute towards getting the Research Assistant achievement, which enables Hermann to sell more advanced items such as Svarog detectors.
Acquisition[]
This item is found at the heart of the Oasis, which is located underneath the Ventilation complex in Jupiter. Ozersky in the scientists' lab in Yanov provides a mission that requires the player to bring him back this artifact in exchange for 7000 RU. Reaching the Heart of the Oasis requires the player to deal with multiple Zombified Stalkers and rodents as well as solving a puzzle (see the Oasis mission page for more details). Upon grabbing the artifact, a Psy dog will appear nearby and attack the player.

Trivia[]
- After being delivered to Ozersky, the Heart of the Oasis will appear in one of the containers in the scientists' bunker.
- No trader in the Zone is interested in this artifact. Hawaiian and Owl will outright refuse to believe it is real, while Beard will remain skeptical about its existence and recommend the player to give it to the Ecologists. Interestingly, the artifact's existence cannot be discussed with Hermann, and it can only be given to Ozersky.
- Only a Svarog detector can detect this artifact, though it isn't necessary as unlike other artifacts in the game, the Heart of the Oasis is visible without a detector.
