― Tuna

Tuna (Russian: Вобла / Vobla) is a Loner who appears in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

Background[]

Tuna is a loner who has been operating in the area of Zaton for some time, alongside two friends of his.

Appearances[]

Call of Pripyat[]

Tuna and his two other companions appear outside the dredge station after the Altered Wheel artifact is obtained during the side mission Strange Phenomenon. He asks the player to give him the artifact, claiming that it has healing capabilities that could save his friend from a life-threatening sickness. Tuna's story is obviously false as he claims he got it out of a chemical anomaly but dropped it. This would be impossible since the dredge wheel is not a chemical-based artifact nor is there a chemical anomaly nearby.

Giving him the artifact makes him run straight to the Skadovsk, where he can be seen giving it to Beard and claiming the reward for finding it.

If one refuses to give him the artifact or claims that they haven't seen it, his companions draw their weapons and give the player a last chance to give it to him peacefully. If the player still refuses to give it to him, Tuna will punch the player and he and and his friends will open fire.

Related missions[]

  • Strange Phenomenon: Tuna will attempt to claim the Altered Wheel from the player, claiming it has healing properties then later on trying to forcefully take it away from them.

Trivia[]

  • Giving him the artifact and killing him just before he reaches Skadovsk won't interfere with the mission in any way, and his team will still be neutral to the player so long as Tuna is not killed within visible distance of them. Tuna's companions will remain at the Dredge Station forever.
  • If the player somehow manages to escape the Dredge Station without talking to him and later comes back to the station, the player can give Tuna the artifact even after it has been sold to Beard. In this case, the game will crash when Tuna attempts to show the artifact to Beard, as he doesn't have it in his inventory.
  • If Tuna sells the artifact to Beard, then he will go to Snag's table and remain there until the player talks to him again, after what he and his companions will travel across Zaton like normal stalkers.
    • Occasionally, when there is a large number of stalkers gathered at the Skadovsk, a stalker may also stand at his spot, which will result in the other stalker clipping through him. This only happens if the player doesn't talk to Tuna again after finishing the mission.
  • His body, like his companions' bodies, will never disappear after his death.
