The Volcano is an anomaly in Pripyat featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
Description
Located in an old basketball court on the western side of the city, the Volcano is named due to its "jumping" burner anomalies. There are tightly grouped clusters of static burners, and several moblie anomalies that shoot up and down, hence the name 'Volcano'. Oddly, there is no ambient heat inside the anomaly, meaning that one can advance slowly and carefully without receiving damage. Mobile burners can deal severe damage if they hit the player.
A Flame spawns by default here, and random heat artifacts may spawn, although rarely.
Random Loners and Mercenaries, and commonly Zombified Stalkers can be seen around the area.
